So, how did this all begin? In 2020, I embarked on a new journey by establishing Merchant of Eco Beauty. This decision came after my family relocated to Lakewood Ranch, Florida, amidst the global challenges we all faced. Inspired by our new West Florida tropical surroundings, which is on the same latitude of Noosa Heads, QLD Australia where I am from, I realized the power of a product my wife had been introduced to on a family vacation in Australia by a local legend. You see, my son had experienced big reactions from mosquito bites no matter the location. Bites from California, Australia, Texas, Florida, Maine, Colorado, the Caribbean all had the same outcome. Misery from the bites. My wife had literally tried everything from family safe to old methods to common brands loaded with chemicals. We were desperate to find him relief and nothing worked. Certainly, none of the options that were family safe. No parent wants to put dangerous ingredients on their kids let alone babies or toddlers. The product my wife couldn’t stop talking about and sharing with friends and family was a beautiful, organic, all-natural cream formulated to disguise people from mosquitoes and other biting bugs all together. It worked! That one product launched me to help with the concerns for other products that would enrich the well-being of my family and hopefully yours. So, I embarked on a mission to find other sustainable and non-toxic products that would be suitable for the families like ours. My goal was to source the best earth and family friendly products that as parents we can feel good using on ourselves and our kids. I researched sunscreens, haircare, skin products, all with sustainable packaging options. Motivated to make a positive impact, I established Merchant of Eco Beauty, to share what I’ve found with families like yours. I’m utilizing my global connections to offer a curated selection of products that cater to the shared concerns of parents seeking environmentally friendly options. With my 25 years of experience in the professional beauty industry, I realized that large global companies often fall short in their commitment to finding true alternatives while reducing environmental impact. This realization motivated me to focus on creating a platform for brands that genuinely prioritize sustainability and make a positive impact with the goal of a range of products that are family and earth safe.
